Orlando Pirates have officially arrived in Marbella, Spain, for their 2026 pre-season training camp as preparations intensify for the new season.

The Buccaneers will be based in Europe from 11 July to 25 July 2026, with head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou leading the squad through a demanding two-week programme ahead of their Betway Premiership title defence and CAF Champions League campaign.

Five Friendlies Confirmed in Spain

Orlando Pirates have lined up five friendly matches during their European camp:

  • 15 July: Córdoba CF
  • 18 July: Cádiz CF
  • 21 July: Al-Ittihad Club
  • 22 July: UD Las Palmas
  • 24 July: NEOM SC

The camp will give Ouaddou an opportunity to fine-tune his tactical plans, assess his squad and integrate new signings before the competitive season begins.

Gearing Up for Domestic Action

Pirates will return from Europe just days before beginning their Betway Premiership title defence against newly promoted Milford FC at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday, 1 August.

Just seven days later, the Buccaneers will begin the defence of their MTN8 crown against Durban City on 8 August, setting up a demanding start to the 2026/27 campaign.

With domestic trophies and CAF Champions League football on the horizon, the Marbella camp represents an important phase of Orlando Pirates’ preparations for another ambitious season.
