Kaizer Chiefs youngster Vicky Mkhawana is set to embark on another loan spell, with the promising forward expected to join Motsepe Foundation Championship side Real Native FC for the 2026/27 season.
The move comes after an encouraging stint at Kruger United, where the youngster gained valuable senior experience and played a role in the club’s promotion to the Betway Premiership.
Another Opportunity for Regular Football
Mkhawana is expected to complete a season-long loan move to Real Native FC, the club formerly known as Casric Stars.
The temporary switch is aimed at providing the 20-year-old with regular first-team football as he continues his development away from Naturena.
Chiefs are understood to view the loan as another important step in preparing the forward for future involvement with the senior squad.
Journey Through the Chiefs Academy
Mkhawana began his football journey at Nkowankowa Barcelona Academy before joining the Kaizer Chiefs Academy in 2022.
His impressive performances for the club’s DStv Diski Challenge side quickly caught the attention of the technical team, earning him his first professional contract with Amakhosi in July 2023.
The three-year deal reflected the club’s belief in one of their brightest attacking prospects.
Making an Impact
The youngster has already enjoyed success at both international and club level.
He represented South Africa at the 2023 CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring twice in a memorable 3-2 victory over Zambia.
Earlier this year, he joined Kruger United on loan and announced himself in dramatic fashion by scoring a stoppage-time winner on his debut.
He went on to help the club secure historic promotion to the Betway Premiership, gaining valuable experience throughout the campaign.

A move to Real Native now offers Mkhawana another platform to continue his development.
