Royal Charleroi Sporting Club have officially announced the signing of midfielder Isaac Cissé from Betway Premiership side Lamontville Golden Arrows, completing one of South African football’s most anticipated transfers of the window.
The 19-year-old Ivorian has signed a four-year contract with the Belgian Jupiler Pro League side, keeping him at the club until June 2030 after an impressive debut season in South Africa.
Charleroi Win Race for Rising Star
Charleroi moved decisively to secure Cissé’s signature after meeting Golden Arrows’ valuation, having seen an initial offer rejected.
The Belgian club completed the midfielder’s visa process before officially unveiling him following his arrival in Belgium.
Cissé attracted significant interest during the transfer window, with Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Egyptian giants Al Ahly all reportedly monitoring his situation.
Reward for Outstanding Debut Season
The defensive midfielder earned his move to Europe after enjoying a standout first campaign with Golden Arrows.
Despite operating primarily in midfield, Cissé contributed five goals in 26 appearances for Abafana Bes’thende, quickly establishing himself as one of the Betway Premiership’s brightest young talents.
